"Chef" Tin Work in Progress
A painting that's about halfway through the process. The tin is really old and has a lot of discoloration and water damage, so I'll be moving onto that soon. It's important to me that the painting honors the actual object....this tin has likely been around for a century or so, and I'm determined to portray it as realistically as possible. It's 8x10, oil on birch panel.
In other news, off to be juried for a fall show! I hope it goes well, and that the dates work out!

Old Beat Up (But still kind of awesome) Toffee Tin!
This is one of my recent paintings of a tin that I've owned for many years. I made the decision to not "pretty it up"....I painted it as it is, warts, scratches and all. It's headed to a show in November, so I have to decide how to frame it. It's 9x12, painted on canvas board. Moving forward I'm using 1/8" Russian Birch plywood as my painting base, I can get a glassy-smooth surface which works well for my style of painting.
